This Is Newly Printed Music
Herve (also Hervey) Dwight Wilkins (1848–1913), born in New York, came from a family steeped in musical background. He was a founder of the American Guild of Organists and played solos at the American Centennial Philadelphia Exposition in 1876, the Pan-American Exposition in 1900, and the St Louis Exposition in 1904. His paraphrase on “Auld Lang Syne” is artistic and restrained in comparison to those by Liszt, will use every colorful stop on your organ, and ends quietly. Moderate.
