Samuel Brenton Whitney (1842–1914) was the organist for the Church of the Advent in Boston, Massachusetts, taught at
New England Conservatory, and was a
founder of the American Guild of Organists. Whitney actually wrote and performed this transcription in 1880, and it was published two years later. Moderately easy.
