The famous composer of piano music wrote the first storm piece for
organ published in the United States. Playing this piece will result in
a realistic depiction of a thunder storm! The French are fond of using
an improvised storm for organ dedications and for the Midnight Mass for
Christmas —
The Thunder Storm fits this perfectly. We include a capsule biography
and article on Ryder and the music. Highest quality guaranteed. Size of
music is 9.5" X
12.5". $10.00.

T P Ryder (1836-1887)
composed dozens of works for piano and a few works for organ, this earliest
American thunder storm piece being the most famous. He was known for playing
the largest organ in America at the time, the IV/70 Hook, Op 148 (1853), at
Tremont Temple in Boston, Massachusetts. Moderately easy.
