Allan J Ontko (b 1947) attended Westminster Choir College and studied
organ with teachers such as Charles Dodsley Walker, Mary Krimmel,
George Markey, and William Whitehead. He studied composition with Warren
Martin and David Stanley York. He is an accomplished
organ builder and has maintained several notable organs, including the IV/58
Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ at Radio City Music Hall, New York City. I have
known Allan for many years, and he strives for the best in everything he
does. Overall, Variations on Veni Creator Spiritus is moderate
with a few spots of technical challenge.
