Edwin H Lemare (1865-1934) is perhaps
the best known organist in the art of transcription. His “Aubade” is one of his original
compositions published while he was civic organist in Chattanooga, Tennessee. An aubade is a morning love song or a musical composition
concerning or evoking daybreak. French composers, such as Chabrier, Massenet, Ravel, and Satie, used this term as a title in their
compositions. Organ compositions with this title were composed by English composers, such as Bernard Johnson (1910), Edwin Evans (1910),
Edwin Lemare (1926), and the French composer Louis Vierne (1927). Moderately easy.
