This Is Newly Printed Music
Roland Diggle (1885-1954) was born in England and moved to the United States in 1904. He was a tireless advocate
of organ music and wrote and arranged an enormous number of published pieces.
There are two other texts that can found with this tune: “O Lord, how shall I meet Thee” (for Advent) and
“Farewell I gladly bid thee” (for funerals). Diggle’s St Theodulph is a bravura toccata which
could be used as a brilliant prelude (or postlude) for Palm Sunday. Moderate.
