William Thomas Best (1826-1897) was the civic organist at St George’s Hall, Liverpool, England, from 1855 until 1894.
He was widely known and admired for his comprehensive perfomance ability — “everything worth playing that had ever been written for the
organ and everything in classical music that could be suitably arranged for it.” His transcriptions became the model for those by
Edwin H Lemare. Moderately difficult.
