Part
of the
Midnight Pipes series, this episode is all about the largest 19th
century organ in the US. This imposing organ was installed originally
into Boston Music Hall and was America's first concert
(that is, not in a church) organ. It was of course moved to Methuen and
has lived happily in its new home, the Methuen Memorial Music Hall, since
1897. This DVD includes scenes of the organ pipes and commentary by Bob
Newton, the current technical curator.
NTSC video, All Region, plays on all computers. $14.00.
